SF

Hello. Today was rather long and endless. just one of those days when you are going through the motions not really caring much. I almost felt as if I were sleep walking through the day. But my energy level is picking up, maybe becasuse I just ate or I am almost off of work. haha either way I am feeling a little better.

This past weekend I flew to san francisco to play in the NAU north/south championship game for AYE major. I flew up saturday morning with one of my buddies at around noon and got into sf about 1:30. The plane ride was really tense and kind of made me sick. I have this fear of heights which makes me paranoid when i fly or go on rollercoasters or anything of that type. I really have no idea why, but my stomach, lungs, and heart feel like its going to drop to the ground causing me to hyperventilate. Really wierd but thats my reasoning for my sweaty palms in which my buddy was joking with me. After we landed, a couple of us went shopping at union square. We visted THE HUNDREDS which I thought had a much better layout/feeling to it then the one in la. It was noticeable bigger, people were more helplful (but customer service is not real big with these types of stores), and a better selection. Went to huff as well but, was not impressed by it. However, I was surprised to find that downtown sf was much more crowded compared to la. Just gangs and gangs of peopple walking around enjoying the chilly day. Also there were alot of bums/homeless people in dt, it was like starbucks here in la, there was one at every corner. I gave a couple some money to get some food, but i could not do it anymore after walking 3 blocks, it was getting expensive.

Shopping and sight seeing was fun especiallly becasue i have never been to sf, just different from la i guess. Walking back to hotel sucked. It was a 2 mile hike up post street (from union square to hotel kabuki) which wore me out. Got back to the hotel and relaxed/did some studying until dinner. My friends and I went to this japanese restuarant, i dont remember the name of it but it was in the plaza next to our hotel. Eat, had a drink, enough to wind down and hit the sack.

Our basketball game was at the university of sf. A small gym for college hoops, but then again USF is not known for the basketball program. We played a team called Foster City Fylers, they were pretty big guys. There fronline was about 6'2 average, which is above average in NAU. It was tough game....they handled us inside but we managed to run them a little and were up by 1 at the half. All that running in the first half took its toll on us because we only had 7 guys and it was NCAA rules (full stopage). They went on a run in second half and could not manage to take a lead after that. We ended up losing by 4.

After the game we grabbed some lunch and headed over to the airport for our 6:00 flight back to la. about 30 mins before take off i started to get nervous which only increased from there. Craig give me some motion sickness tablets, which surprisingly help alot. My stomach did not drop at all during the flight and i was able to relax a little.
When i got home around 8:45 i finally got to finish my studying for my midterm that was today. Which i think i did ok, probably a B. Tonight will be a good night sleep, however i do have to watch the laker game. Hopefully they can finally close this series out with a good win. Well I am about to leave work now, take it easy.
